CARB P2 – low-emission board materials for health-conscious customers |
| |
|
| |
People who buy wood materials for furniture or interior architectural woodwork |
| |
are looking for cosiness, authenticity, naturalness, quality and – last but not |
| |
least – a healthy, environmentally friendly product. |
| |
|
| |
What does CARB P2 stand for? |
| |
CARB stands for the California Air Resources Board, the agency that first proposed |
| |
a Californian law to reduce formaldehyde in wood materials. In the meantime, |
| |
PHASE 2 (P2) has come into effect there: it stipulates a maximum formaldehyde |
| |
concentration of 0.09 ppm in chipboard. |
| |
|
| |
Although E1 materials are still allowed in Germany, several manufacturers already |
| |
set a good example by offering lower-emission CARB P2 panels. |
| |
|
| |
Almost all chipboard veneered by europlac is CARB P2 certified. |
| |

The INTERZUM fair in Cologne from May 25 to 28, 2011 was a resounding |
| |
success! Existing and potential customers had a chance to experience our |
| |
latest products close up at the Café europlac (the name given to our new |
| |
exhibition stand). |
| |
